01 · What it does
They measure the rotation angle of a joint or pivot, for example between two arms of a crane or an excavator. The reading lets the machine know how the arm is positioned.
In crane joints and on articulated platforms, the angular range is considered together with the shaft or mounting. Supply and output signal define the angular sensor connection.

Position sensors
They show where a moving part is, such as a rod, a lever or a slider, and send the position to the control unit. They are used wherever the machine has to know or control a stroke.

Inclinometers
They detect the tilt of a part of the machine relative to gravity. They are useful to know the attitude of an arm, a platform or the whole machine.
