01 · What it does
They reduce the electrical noise on the power line or on the signal to protect the most sensitive electronics. They are made to specification, also integrated into a harness or a junction box.
For sensor lines and control-unit supplies, the line type and known interference need to be distinguished. Voltage, current and available space describe the filter's integration into the harness.

Power conditioning
A machine's onboard network is not a clean supply: there are engine starts, loads switching on and off, voltage variations. Power conditioning protects and adapts the supply of the downstream electronics so sensors and control units receive the voltage they need.

Harnesses with embedded electronics
Harnesses that include a small electronic part inside the body, for example a filter, a fuse or an adaptation circuit. Extra boxes are avoided and the number of connections is reduced.
